Saiseikai Yokohamashi Tobu Hospital has opened and operated a TQM Center since it opened in 2007. TQM is an abbreviation for Total Quality Management, which means comprehensive quality control in Japanese.
It goes without saying that ensuring the quality of medical care is an extremely important mission for a hospital. To achieve this mission, the TQM Center has four management offices (Medical Safety Management Office, Infection Control Office, Clinical Path Management Office, and Bedsore Management Office) and four teams (NST, Comprehensive Elderly Care Team, RST, and Diabetes Care Team) and strives to improve the quality of medical care through cross-departmental activities that go beyond clinical department.
