The shared testing service is a system that allows local medical institutions to use the medical equipment owned by our hospital. Please refer patients who only require testing (by appointment), and we will report the results as soon as the test is performed at our hospital. Plain CT/MRI/MRCP

As a general rule, pregnant women and patients who may be pregnant cannot undergo CT scans. Please note that patients with implanted pacemakers cannot undergo CT (chest) or MRI scans. MRCP is also available. Applications are accepted for use for the purpose of early detection of pancreatic and gallbladder cancer.

*Inspections will begin in January 2024. Reservations can be made from December 2023.

Contrast examinations are limited to contrast CT scans, as intravenous injection of contrast agents can cause serious side effects such as kidney damage and shock, although these are rare. If you would like a contrast MRI, please refer to the relevant "clinical department."

When applying, you will need to fax the following: 1) the test application form. 2) the consent form and 3) the medical questionnaire. Please fill them out and bring them with you on the day of your appointment.

Cardiac CT scan [Example cost: Health insurance (30% burden) approx. 15,000 yen]

We have a shared use slot for cardiac CT scans using a 320-row CT. The target diseases are suspected angina and coronary artery screening for abnormal electrocardiograms. In addition, reconstruction may be difficult in cases of atrial fibrillation and cases where breath-holding is difficult during the examination. In addition, beta blockers may be administered at the doctor's discretion after the patient arrives at the hospital, so the examination time is expected to be 2 to 3 hours.

RI/scintigraphy [Example cost: bone scintigraphy, health insurance (30% burden) approx. 30,000 yen]

The bone scan begins about three hours after the injection and takes about 40 minutes, so it takes about a day to complete.
Ga scintigraphy is taken two days after the injection. It is a three-day examination. When making a reservation, please make sure that you do not have any appointments in the morning of the first day or in the afternoon of the third day. The examination two days later takes about 40 minutes. If you would like to have other examinations, please contact the Regional Medical Cooperation Office.

We are only able to perform tests on the upper digestive tract (esophagus, stomach, and duodenum). In principle, tests are performed orally, so tests along that route will also be performed. Diabetes complications test [Cost example: Health insurance (30% burden) approx. 10,000 yen]

This is a course of testing for diabetes patients to check for complications on the same day. The tests consist of six tests: blood test (blood sugar level, biochemistry, etc.), urine test, pulse wave velocity, carotid artery echo, nerve conduction velocity, and abdominal ultrasound. After the tests, a certified diabetes Registered Nurse will provide lifestyle advice, which can be useful for patients who are concerned or suspected of complications.

Bone density test [Example cost: Health insurance (30% burden) approx. 2,500 yen]

The DXA method (a method of measuring bone density by irradiating x-rays of two different energies and measuring the difference in absorption rate between bone and soft tissue) is used to measure the bone density of the lumbar spine and femoral neck. These are the areas where fractures due to osteoporosis occur, and measuring these areas is the most efficient way to evaluate the condition of the bones. On the day of the examination, patients only need to lie on their back on the examination bed; the examination is painless. It takes about 20 minutes from reception to leaving the clinic.
If you have had a barium test or contrast CT scan of your stomach or intestines, please make your appointment at least one week after those tests in order to ensure accurate test results.
If you have a patch or electric massager on the area to be measured, please remove it before coming.

This test is aimed at early detection of pancreatic cancer. An abdominal ultrasound examination and blood sampling will be performed. This is a specialized outpatient clinic aimed at early detection of pancreatic cancer. We will take blood and urine samples, perform MRCP, and explain the results on the same day of your visit.
