Greetings from the director
We will provide medical care to all people with all our heart.
Our hospital was opened on March 30, 2007, and all the staff have been working to establish its position as a core hospital rooted in the community. I took over the director from the first director, Takeo Kawashiro, on April 1, 2011. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the people involved in the hospital for their efforts and, above all, the support of the local people and many medical personnel.
As a core hospital in Yokohama City and as a hospital of Saiseikai, this hospital is a hospital that mainly provides acute care and various highly specialized medical care centered on critical care centers and intensive treatment centers. Despite being such an acute care hospital, our hospital also has a Psychiatry and a facility for children with severe physical and mental disabilities (persons) who are also responsible for hard emergency as part of the policy medical care of Yokohama City. We have introduced a Disease-based Medical Team for medical treatment, and internal medicine and surgical doctors are always working together to formulate a treatment plan for a single patient and implement the best treatment method. In 2008, it was designated as a regional medical support hospital, and we have received a lot of support from local teachers as a collaborative registered medical institution and registered doctor of our hospital.
We provide medical care to all people with all our heart and soul. We aim to implement team medical care from the patient’s point of view, with the participation of staff of all occupations for each patient and the participation of the patients themselves and their families. Furthermore, we hope to foster a “face-to-face” close medical cooperation between our hospital and surrounding medical institutions, and to support the region so that people can live with greater peace of mind.
For our hospital, “providing higher quality medical care” is a social mission, but in addition to that, “cultivating excellent medical personnel” is also an important mission. This hospital is a designated hospital for clinical training by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, and is a hospital accredited by many academic societies to train residents and specialists. We are building an organizational structure that encourages the growth of all employees, not just doctors, and are actively working to create a work environment where employees can work with a sense of fulfillment.
We will continue to make every effort to become a hospital that is trusted by everyone. Best regard.
Director Takahiko Misumi

Tobu Hospital’s way of thinking about transportation
At our hospital, we provide medical care in a “the conditional acceptance of a life-saving blood transfusion” environment.
At our hospital, we give first consideration to the relationship of trust with patients, and strive to give sufficient explanation and consent (informed consent) when conducting medical treatment. Among them, there are patients who are refused transportation due to religious reasons. We provide medical care without transportation or with the minimum amount of transportation required, but during medical treatment such as surgery, “life crisis” occurs, and if we decide that we have no choice but to do so based on the ethics of doctors, we also take the place to carry out the transportation even for patients who are refused transportation due to religious reasons (so-called “the conditional acceptance of a life-saving blood transfusion ※1″ ). At our hospital, we will provide medical care at “the conditional acceptance of a life-saving blood transfusion” position, so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
※1 The conditional acceptance of a life-saving blood transfusion
We will respect the patient’s will and strive for non-transportation treatment as much as possible, but this is a place / idea that we transporte when we see a situation there is no life-saving measure other than transportation.
