From April 2018, our hospital will begin offering robot-assisted surgery for lung cancer, mediastinal tumors, and rectal cancer, which are covered by insurance.
The applicable techniques are as follows:
<Lung cancer>
● Thoracoscopic surgery for malignant lung tumors (segmentectomy)
● Thoracoscopic surgery for malignant lung tumors (lobectomy or surgery for more than one lobe)
<Mediastinal tumor>
● Thoracoscopic surgery for malignant mediastinal tumors
● Thoracoscopic surgery for benign mediastinal tumors
<Rectal cancer>
Laparoscopic rectal resection/amputation
