[Cardiology] Visit to the catheterization room by an Indian doctor
On March 12th and 13th, three Indian doctors visited our hospital to observe Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) in Japan. They had lively discussions on coronary artery treatment using Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), and treatment of Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO).
In the afternoon of the 12th, the group observed CTO treatment by Dr. Ito and OCT-guided PCI by Dr. Kobayashi, and on the 13th, OCT and FFR-guided PCI by Dr. Tsutsumi and Dr. Yamawaki.
In India, too, with the rapid increase in coronary artery disease, there seems to be growing interest in how to treat complex lesions.
Since the opening of the Cardiology, we have invited many experts and young doctors from Japan and abroad to hold educational workshops and live demonstrations. We would like to continue contributing to the development of the catheter treatment field through personnel exchanges both in Japan and overseas, and by constantly verifying our own treatments, we will continue to devote ourselves to our studies so that we can provide better medical care to our patients.
