[Healthy Citizen Yokohama Public Lecture] Blue Clover Campaign 2023

 

The annual Blue Clover Campaign, which calls for early detection and treatment of prostate cancer, will be held again this year.

 

Prostate cancer explanatory video now available

Prostate cancer can be detected and treated early. In order to prevent even one person from being diagnosed with advanced stage cancer or losing their life, and to provide correct knowledge, we have created and released an explanatory video by Dr. Masaru Ishida Urology. Please take a look!

 

 

Free PSA screening

Free PSA screenings will be available for a limited time from Monday, November 13th to Friday, November 24th for men aged 40 and over (excluding Thursday, November 23rd (national holiday)).


Testing period and subjects
Testing period: Monday, November 13th to Friday, November 24th, 2023, weekdays from 15:00 to 16:00 *Excluding Thursday, November 23rd (National Holiday)
Target: Men aged 40 or older
Capacity: 100 people
How to make a reservation: Lottery
Lottery application period: October 30th (Month) to November 5th (Sun)

 

What is a PSA test?

A test for the early detection of prostate cancer. PSA is an abbreviation for prostate specific antigen, and it measures the amount of a substance called PSA protein secreted by the prostate in the blood.

PSA test provides highly accurate diagnostic results with just a blood sample


The number of patients with prostate cancer, which increases with age, is rapidly increasing, and it is predicted that prostate cancer will be the number one cancer in men this year as well. Due to the coronavirus, there are concerns about refraining from undergoing medical examinations and medical examinations, but since prostate cancer has almost no symptoms in the early stages, regular examinations are important for early detection.
